OUR MISSION
The Children’s Ministry Team at Valley View Baptist Church consider it a privilege from God to share biblical instruction and love with your child. We view ourselves as partners with you. As a parent or guardian, you make the most significant spiritual impact on your child. Talking about God and His goodness teaches your child about the nature of God. Telling your child about your own faith in Christ and your convictions about His Word shows your child the importance of personal commitment. Regular Bible Study, prayer, family devotional, and church attendance demonstrate the priority of God in your life. These are critical years as you lay the foundation for your child’s future. It is our prayer that, like Jesus, your child will grow “in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” (Luke 2:52)
OUR MINISTRIES
- Sunday School
Every Sunday we have wonderful adults teaching our children God’s word. With age appropriate lessons and a systematic approach to teaching God’s word our children are challenge to Love God, Grow Together, and Serve Others.
- Kid’s View
Kid’s View is designed to minister to our children ages 3-5th Grade during our Sunday morning worship service. During the first part of the service our children sit with their family, so they can learn to worship as a family. Then as the Pastor comes to preach and teach our children are dismissed to the Family Life Center for age appropriate activities and Bible teaching. This time is led by teams of adults committed to serve The Lord, our children, and our families.
- Kid’s Club
Kid’s Club is our weekly Wednesday night ministry for children 3 years old – 5th Grade. Each Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. our children meet in the Family Life Center for times of singing, bible study, games, Valley View Market, and more. During the fall our focus is on Children’s Choir and preparing for our Children’s Christmas program. In the spring our focus turns to in-depth Bible teaching and Bible drill.
- Wednesday Night Adventures
Wednesday Night Adventures meets on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. during the summer with a focus on Bible characters, various theme nights, and other activities.
- Events and Family Meet Ups
Throughout the year we have events around town that families can meet up and enjoy fun and fellowship time together. Some of the events include Vacation Bible School, bowling, University of Tennessee football and basketball games, bounce house, pumpkin patch, trunk or treat, church picnic and other fellowship opportunities.
